DELTA H® is very proud to be among the technology providers supporting the missions of Edwards Air Force Base – and to serve on the cutting edge of experimental aviation at this storied and historic airfield.

Recently DELTA H® delivered two “Defender Series” dual chamber aerospace heat treating (DCAHT®) systems which were developed for the unique requirements of the armed forces. Defender Series meet the pyrometry standards of USAF/NAVAIR Tech Order 1-1A-9, and qualify to SAE AMS2750G. Upgrade packages to full compliance are available that include advanced and secure software for batch records, full certified operator and quality control training, and thermocouple management. Defender Series are “deployable”, designed with lighter construction, and feature “low mass” ceramic fiber insulation with no need for insulating fire brick. The chambers are “stackable” and can be configured with 500F, 1200F or 2000F maximum temperatures as either dual or single chamber systems. Thus serve as “universal heat treating systems” for hangar sheet metal back shops that are tasked with “keeping them flying” – and are “mission essential” equipment.

Defender Series systems are, to date, located at Texas and Kansas Air National Guard facilities as well as Beale AFB in Northern California – in addition to Edwards AFB.
